Mechanicsburg came to Centerville as the projected #5 DIII team and even though Centerville was missing some key wrestlers, they were able to pull off the victory thanks to some underclassmen stepping up. 106 Mitchell Winfield got a nice decision to get us started. Crouch stepped in at 113 to collect the forfeit and then Levi Howard wrestled up a weight and recorded a key pin. Aaron Hunt stepped in at 126 to get the forfeit securing a big lead. Pins along the way from 144 Burkle and 165 George kept us ahead. Securing the win was John Moyer at 175. Even though he lost a close match to a number 12 state ranked wrestler, his ability to keep it close, not get pinned ensured our victory. Being without Damion Ryan, Luke Acuna, Gunnar Pool and Orphan Akbary hurt us but the young guys came through. 39-37
